Too often, farmers receive injury prevention recommendations while in the doctor's office after an accident alreadyoccurs. This webinar brings three medical professionals from agricultural communities together to discuss what stepsfarmers can take to prevent common on-farm injuries. Topics will include using farm equipment, protecting joints fromimpact injury, and identifying minor injury before it becomes a major injury.
The Virginia Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coalition has partnered with AgrAbility Virginia and the Virginia Association for Biological Farming to offer this webinar.
The Virginia Beginning Farmer & Rancher Coalition is a state-wide and coalition-based Extension program, housed in Virginia Tech’s Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education. Funding was sponsored by the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program (BFRDP) of the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Award #2017-70011-26861, and the Southern Risk Management Education Center Grant #545015.
